Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Lumika African Safari representative will greet you and transfer you to your luxury accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Arusha, the vibrant safari hub of Northern Tanzania, is where most safari journeys begin.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your private guide will collect you and drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Famous for its massive elephant herds, Tarangire is also home to over 500 bird species, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife along the Tarangire River.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, followed by an afternoon game drive before returning to your luxury lodge.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Explore Lake Manyara National Park, a small but wildlife-rich gem known for tree-climbing lions, flocks of pink flamingos, and large elephant herds. The park’s habitats range from soda lake shores to woodlands and steep escarpments, providing a sanctuary for a remarkable diversity of wildlife.

Return to your luxury lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, travel through the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for breathtaking panoramas. Continue into the legendary Serengeti National Park, renowned for its vast savannahs and the seasonal Great Migration.

Enjoy afternoon game drives and witness wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and predators in action.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti

Day 6: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most beautiful wildlife havens. Spot endangered black rhinos, along with wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and abundant birdlife.

In the afternoon, transfer to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Karatu → Departure
